26/1/2010
The Keyneton Motorcycle Club rounded off
a highly successful 2009 with Club members being awarded a number of
the major awards at the Motorcycling SA Awards Night, held at the
end of November. 4 members were awarded MSA’s highest award with

Philip Holmes (as a team), Ian Zander and Geoff Warnest.

THE KEYNETON MCC LOSE ONE OF ITS
GREATS
20/1/2010
In its
60 year history the Keyneton
Motorcycle Club has awarded 26 Life
Memberships, and the 5th
of those was awarded to Laurence
Williams, or Willie as he was known,
in 1981. Willie passed away just
before Christmas at the age of 67
after a long battle with illness at
Angaston, the Keyneton MCC will be
the poorer for his passing.

2009 STATEWIDE RALLY
25/11/2009
On
the October long weekend KMCC ran the annual Statewide Rally, and the 2009 ride
was from Nuriootpa to Tintinara which was home base for the 3 day event. The
riders were supposed to start riding at 9am but somehow rally time always seems
to kick in (rally time is a
calculation of the average combined riders age dived by the nearest hour of the
correct start time)
and it was about 9.30am before the riders hit the
road.

MAX, LIFE MEMBER No 26
15/11/2009
At
the 2009 AGM the Keyneton MCC
bestowed it’s 26th
Life Membership, this time to a
living legend of motorcycling in
South Australia, Max Graetz. Max
was first a member of the KMCC
in late 1969 when he joined up
so he could ride events as the
Gawler MCC were having trouble
getting affiliated with the ACU
of SA.
ANNUAL GENERAL
MEETING
15/11/2009
Shane Kraft was
elected back into the President’s chair of the
Keyneton MCC for 2010. In total this is Shane’s
8th term as president, which sees him
move up to equal 2nd on the Club’s
all time list of years as president, joining Joe
Doddridge (8 years), with only Geoff Warnest (10
years) ahead of him.
THE KING OF THE ENDURO-CROSS
CROWNED
18/10/2009
South
Australia's first ever Enduro Cross
king was crowned on Saturday night
at Gilman speedway. Hosted by the
KMCC the event was a great success,
taking on some of the best Enduro
and Motocross riders SA has to
offer. It's popularity is sure to
grow as this first event opened the
gates to a must do on the
Motorcycling calendar in the future.

SA WOMEN’S CUP &
DIENER/HOLMES SIDECAR TROPHY
7/10/2009
The
Keyneton MCC ran the inaugural SA Women’s Cup and
Diener/Holmes Sidecar Trophy Moto Trial on September 12
& 13, on Phil Martin’s property at Eden Valley in hot,
dry and windy conditions, a stark contrast to the lead
up weather of wet and rainy! The KMCC would like to
thank all who helped with the set up of the event, the
section setters, the caterers, the officials, the land
owner, Phil Martin, and the observers who gave up their
Sunday morning so the riders could ride all day!
