MAX, LIFE MEMBER No 26                                                                            15/11/2009
At the 2009 AGM the Keyneton MCC bestowed it’s 26th Life Membership, this time to a living legend of motorcycling in South Australia, Max Graetz. Max was first a member of the KMCC in late 1969 when he joined up so he could ride events as the Gawler MCC were having trouble getting affiliated with the ACU of SA.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING                                                                       15/11/2009
Shane Kraft was elected back into the President’s chair of the Keyneton MCC for 2010. In total this is Shane’s 8th term as president, which sees him move up to equal 2nd on the Club’s all time list of years as president, joining Joe Doddridge (8 years), with only Geoff Warnest (10 years) ahead of him.

THE KING OF THE ENDURO-CROSS CROWNED                         18/10/2009

South Australia's first ever Enduro Cross king was crowned on Saturday night at Gilman speedway. Hosted by the KMCC the event was a great success, taking on some of the best Enduro and Motocross riders SA has to offer. It's popularity is sure to grow as this first event opened the gates to a must do on the Motorcycling calendar in the future.

SA WOMEN’S CUP & DIENER/HOLMES SIDECAR TROPHY              7/10/2009

The Keyneton MCC ran the inaugural SA Women’s Cup and Diener/Holmes Sidecar Trophy Moto Trial on September 12 & 13, on Phil Martin’s property at Eden Valley in hot, dry and windy conditions, a stark contrast to the lead up weather of wet and rainy! The KMCC would like to thank all who helped with the set up of the event, the section setters, the caterers, the officials, the land owner, Phil Martin, and the observers who gave up their Sunday morning so the riders could ride all day!

KEYNETON & MORGAN MCC INTERCLUB RIDE DAY                      24/7/2009

Keyneton and Morgan Motor Cycle Clubs combined for a ride day at Sedan on Sunday. The weather was clear and crisp on arrival at the track and the sun shone all day on the 70 plus riders. Three circuits were available to riders who rotated every 15 minutes, except for the young juniors whose track was available and in constant use all day.

KEYNETON MCC WIN 2008 ‘MSA CLUB OF THE YEAR’ AWARD   21/6/2009

At the last General Meeting, on May 26th, Rob Baumann, the General Manager of Motorcycling SA was in attendance ‘to see how the club was running’, or so we all thought. At the end of the meeting Rob was introduced to the members present and instead of commenting on the Club he told of the real reason for him returning to his old Club.

MOUNTAIN MAN MOTO TRIAL                                                         19/6/2009 Finishing off May saw the Club run it’s annual Mountain Man Moto Trial on Bruce Verrall’s property at Eden Valley. With a number of senior members unavailable to organise the event Chris Clark stepped into the breach and organised his first ever event, along with the help of other novices in the Club. Getting a lot of help and advice from the senior officials in the Club helped steer Christopher in the right direction and on the day he, and his section setting helpers had put together a challenging, but safe, set of 8 sections for the 31 entries to have a crack at.
