2017 Update

As season 2017 starts to gain some momentum,  there are a number of big happenings to put in the diary – and that’s well before the Club runs the Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championship & 2017 FIM Trial Oceania Championship at the end of September – and they are;
April General Meeting – will be on MONDAY, April 24 due to ANZAC Day, not Tuesday as normal – and will feature the Australia’s legendary GP Team Manager, and recently inducted MSA Hall of Fame recipient, Jeremy Burgess as guest speaker. Clubroom’s will be open early, tucker will be on – and there is a day off the next day, so bring the kids along as well, so they can meet and listen to an absolute legend of Australian Motorcycle Sport!

This will also be the meeting to find out all about the 2017 KMCC Club Events, so come along to find out all the ‘goss’!

The merry old month of May ends with the 39th running of the Mike Connors Reliability Trial which is round 2 of the SART Championships. The Trial returns to Sedan and surround areas on May 27th and will be a daytime only event. The Club will be looking for help, and specifically in the area of CONTROL KEEPERS for the day, so if you are able to help, please contact the club; secretary@keynetonmcc.asn.au or via our contacts page. 2017 SA Women’s Cup & Diener/Holmes Sidecar Trophy – June 18th @ Eden Valley! Keep an eye out for a big announcement in the next week or so regarding the Club’s FIM Women in Motorcycling Award nominated event, which ‘could’ take on a brand new colour scheme in 2017, and with over 12 girls already riding trials here in SA, plus the guest riders, as well as any visitors from across borders – 20 will be the aim again in 2017, and with new sidecar teams now riding, or about to ride, this could also be a breakout year for the Diener/Holmes as well!

Observers will be needed for this event, so if you are keen to lend a hand, and are also planning to observe at the Australian Championships later in the year, this will be ideal practice!

The 2017 SA Women’s Cup will look to build on last year when is was a finalist in the prestigious FIM Women In Motorcycling Award, shown here with rider; (from left) back – Jasmine Tarrant, Lillie Yiatrou, Tess Warnest, Olivia Lang, Anna Rogers, Jesse Nouse, Melissa Rogers; middle – Alisha Harry, Caitlyn Hardin, Lucy Cowan, Elysia Owen, Sasha Hardin; and front – Charlotte Cowan, Sofie Kraft & Ashley Barwick
